Australian Museum, Level 2 – College Street, Sydney NSW 2000 *submitted by Melanie*

Do you know how rare it is to find baby change facilities that dads can access? It’s almost as rare as hens teeth….almost. The Australian Museum has remembered the dads and provided baby change tables in the male toilets up on Level 2. Yay!!!!!!

Check out the review below from Melanie.

“You would expect a family orientated attraction would be more pram friendly as the pram entrance is not well signposted. Being a second entrance/exit, it is easy to exit the museum without going through the gift shop which may be a relief for some parents.

Adult tickets are $12 and are featured in the entertainment book as a buy one get one free.  Children under 5 are free.

Pro: a change table is available for both mums and dads. The change table has a raised corner to allow you to hang the nappy bag. There are about 10 chairs nearby for feeding

Cons:  the table is too close to the door so everyone can see what’s inside the nappy, including those entering / exiting the men’s room. ( this really bothered me ). The passageway to get to the room is very narrow, you can not fit a double pram through to get anywhere near the change table facilities.

The table is positioned too close to the paper towel dispenser so you end up on a strange angle when changing the nappy”.
