Darling Harbour, next to Sydney Information Centre – Tumbalong Park

Overall: Fathers Welcome!! Good. Nappy change, feed, rest.

Good Points: The ‘Fathers Welcome’ sign. Toilet with sink, soap and hand dryer. Nappy disposal bins. Three feeding cubicles. Change table in each cubicle. Microwave with sink and soap at hand. Chairs for each cubicle. Handy location.

Bad Points: Toilet doorway too narrow for prams. Missing curtains from feeding cubicles. No paper towel.

The revamped Tumbalong Park is just fantastic! For parents, it’s even better with the well equipped parents room so close by and easy to access. The parents room has a big sign on the front of it, so you can’t miss it. The best bit….it says ‘Fathers Welcome’. Love it!!

While it’s not in mint condition, for a public facility it’s actually quite good. Inside the parents room there’s 3 feeding cubicles (although 2 are missing privacy curtains). Each cubicles has a wall mounted fold out change table, nappy bin and chair. On one wall of the room is the microwave, with sink and soap. Sadly we didn’t find any paper towels.

The toilet is in a very narrow room, so don’t try to get a pram in there. It looks pretty scungy but the toilet is actually clean (it was on this visit anyway).

Yeah, the room is run down and in need of TLC but it’s great for something that’d get quite a bit of traffic. Check it out next time you’re at Darling Harbour. Remember, the dads are welcome too šŸ™‚
